June 21 Nathan Standley Presents at the National Council of State Boards of Nursing’s Discipline Case Management Conference
Allen & Pinnix attorney Nathan Standley gave a presentation titled Antitrust and Regulatory Boards: Where Do We Go from Here? at the annual National Council of State Boards of Nursing’s Discipline Case Management Conference. His talk included a high-level overview of the legislation and litigation that has resulted from the Supreme Court’s opinion in the North Carolina Dental Board v. Federal Trade Commission case, as well as an overview of how state boards can manage antitrust risk going forward.
May 31 Allen & Pinnix Attorneys Contribute to the 2017 Volume of Competition Law in Western Europe and the USA
Allen & Pinnix attorneys Noel Allen, Nathan Standley, and Brenner Allen* authored the 2017 USA volume of Wolters Kluwer’s Competition Law in Western Europe and the USA. The volume included a discussion of recent developments in enforcement of the Sherman Act, Clayton Act, and Federal Trade Commission Act, as well as other US federal and state antitrust protections, and the impact of international antitrust regulations on US businesses.

During the annual North America meeting of the International Business Law Consortium, Allen & Pinnix attorney Brenner Allen* presented on US law firms’ and businesses’ responses to the forthcoming European Union Data Protection Regulation. Her presentation included an overview of the EU/US Privacy Shield Program and the steps that US businesses may take to comply with the EU Regulation.
